Lake Wallenpaupak

(Pocono Weekend)

Oct 17-19, 2008

Hey gang, this is Steve Archibald and like many of you, I’ve spent some of the most fun, relaxing and memorable weekends ever at the Halterman Cabins on Lake Wallenpaupack. Since the mid 80’s Fall Line has taken a good gang, sometimes as many as 40+ people for fun, frolic, golf, pool, time by the fire, stand up or as the case may be sit down comedy time, or just good time with friends. I love this place. However as time moves on, so does much of life. Cricket Hill may not be with us much longer, so let’s take a trip to the Poconos at least one more time. Let’s rekindle some of those great memories and show a whole new group of Fall Liners why this place has such a special spot in our hearts. A good time is guaranteed!! Hope to see you there. Steve

(

The following paragraph has been used the last couple of years to describe this trip and I surely can’t say it any better).

Warm days with dazzling fall colors, beautiful sunsets overlooking a pristine lake & cool evenings around a blazing campfire under the stars with a refreshing beverage listening to your favorite tunes. Sound inviting? Well grab a friend or two and head to the Halterman cabins on gorgeous Lake Wallenpaupak. Join us for a very relaxing weekend with a variety of activities available. Many of us will golf at the world famous Cricket Hill Golf Course. Bring/rent a canoe or kayak and enjoy exploring the huge lake or nearby Delaware River. There are hiking and biking trails at close by state parks. Fish for stripers, pike and walleyes in the lake, boat rentals are available at nearby marinas. Antiquers will love the quaint little towns and many shops around the lake. Or... bring a good book and just relax by the water lapped shoreline. Cost is approx $85.p.p. and includes 2 nights lodging, all the beer, soda and wine you can drink, and 2 breakfasts (cereal, bagels, OJ, coffee, etc). There are numerous fine local restaurants for lunch and dinner choices.

Find out why people come back for this popular weekend year after year.
